10 Places Every 10-Year-Old Should See
Robin Esrock channels his inner 10 year-old to find 10 destinations perfect for a kid’s imagination.
I am uniquely qualified to put this list together because I was once 10 years old, and 25 years later, frequently defend accusations that I still behave like one. Whatever your age, here’s a gallery of destinations guaranteed to have your kids (inner and outer) hopping with excitement. Share your own suggestions in the comments below.

3. New York Let’s start with FAO Schwartz and Toys R Us, two of the world’s biggest toyshops (until the Internet came along). As your child walks dazed through five floors of products specifically designed to mug their attention span, you can prepare for the bill specifically designed to mug your credit card. Introduce your kids to big budget theatre on Broadway (mommy, I want to be a dancer!) and then park them off at the American Museum of Natural History (mommy, I want to dig for dinosaurs!). The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is another sure bet, and whether it’s ballet, science or art, you’re taking the kids and yourselves to the some of the best in the world. With its hold on our popular imagination, the sheer amount of offer for kids in New York is bound to make a lifelong impression. (credit: Popiart)
