I am uniquely qualified to put this list together because I was once 10 years old, and 25 years later, frequently defend accusations that I still behave like one. 10. Universal Studios On the flip side of historical and natural wonders lie the nuts and bolts of the dream machine. Movies, cartoon characters like the Simpsons and Dr. Seuss, aliens, monsters, superheroes – the mythical and marvellous creatures that inhabit a child’s world come to life at these theme parks, located in California, Florida, Japan, and soon in Singapore and Dubai too. There’s a special time in a kid’s life where they get to figure out what is real, and what is fake. When a mechanical shark lurches out of the water you might want to be there to reassure your kid that sharks are not monsters.
