Festivals to See Before You Die
With attendance figures fast approaching the 200,000 mark, the Glastonbury Festival is the largest open-air music festival in the world. Performing at Glasto is a huge honour for artists, be they music, theatre, dance or circus, with headliners reserved for the world’s best. Glastonbury is also known for its energy convergence (it’s in the Vale of Avalon, channelling King Arthur lore) and its notoriously temperamental weather. When I attended, the mud was so thick it came up to my knees, and getting around was all but impossible. Still, with hundreds of live performances and a “well get through it” attitude, it’s impossible not to have enjoy this epic festival. (credit: Getty Images)
